Can someone make me a “you’re funky for a honky” pin or shirt?

Remember when diy graff stickering was you your homies, and maybe one or 2 crazy poor white kids all using a kinkos printer, tape, spray mount you mopped from ACE and some sneakers (to run)

I miss the old days when the street art & sticker game wasnt run by white girls invading poor neighborhoods with crystals around their necks, fixies between their legs, faux tribal haircuts, and 20k+ a year art school snob sticks up their asses

A few weeks ago I was accepted into Project M North — a two-week intensive program for creative people of all backgrounds; I will travel to Belfast, Maine to live and work with the other “M’ers.” Our work is not pre-planned, but will center around coming into the community with an open mind. Most importantly, we will hone our skills in thinking wrong: disregarding the status-quo as immovable and resolving to be curious and honest instead.
I am holding a fundraiser from now until April 5th to help cover the cost of food and Project M North projects.
There are THREE ways you can support:

DONATE and get great perks! All proceeds go to Project M North projects and feeding me while I am in Belfast, Maine. Just visit the House Home website and good things will come to you.
VISIT HOUSE HOME on SATURDAY, MARCH 10th: Open House from 11am-7pm, House Party from 7pm-Midnight at NE 79th and Glisan. There will be homemade fermented beverages, free food, art, and merch. Also, a special musical performance by Cristina Cano! RSVP HERE for FREE admission.
ORDER HOT FOOD and have it delivered to your door! $8 for 8 scones OR $25 for 12 petite lasagnas. All food is made from scratch with family-farm fresh eggs! Ingredients can be customized to your needs and wishes. Place your ORDER HERE.
Please help send me to Project M North to live, learn, and start conversations; by talking to each other we shape our own consciousness and create a future based on real people really communicating. Thank you!

If you are in Portland, you should definitely swing by the open house/house party on March 10th &/or order delicious hot food (Jazzer’s scones have set me up for some of my very best mornings!). If you are elsewhere, you should still click all over this site because it’s gorgeous and soul-soothing. Wherever you are, consider donating (even $1 gets you perks) to support my rad-ass housemate in her creative endeavors. And seriously, those scones, y’all…

COME TO THIS, plz

Homegirl プリクラ is a collaboration between artists Rio Yañez and Mayra Ramirez. It is the next phase of Yañez’ art series examining the relationship between Japanese youth emulating Cholo and Chola culture and their counterparts in the United States. Homegirl Purikura reverses the appropriation of visual aesthetics and uses Japanese photobooths (Purikura) to create portraits of Cholas. The use of Purikura enables Yañez and Ramirez to create a hybrid visual presentation of portraits decorated in Chola cultural references but using uniquely Japanese visual tools to do so.

if you’re downtown in portland at all before sunday do yourself a favor and check out the roundness feminist collective’s ” food + roundness ” installation at field work [sw 11th & jefferson]

There’s zines to read/make, music, 3 truncated personal libraries to thumb through, people watching, visual art & photo postcards made by Dorian and I

(if you’re only kind of interested and the promise of free wine helps pique your interest saturdays closing would be the time to swoop by)

The space is wheelchair and trans friendly with ramps and ungendered bathrooms to do all that you intend to!

Chrisney Spears aka the man who taught me how to walk in heels is currently touring the globe/working on a Disney cruise ship dancing as a cast member. As much fun as it looks like he’s having on Facebook like any job sometimes it gets boring so it appears the cast decided to throw a project runway-type competition using only paper and plastics.
